In the state of Minas Gerais exists a region called Cerrado, which is the largest coffee-producing state in Brazil. The coffee is grown at an elevation of 3001 feet in rich soil that the natives call "Terra Roxa" or "Red Earth" which when coupled with their consistent rains, high daytime temps, and dry winters makes Cerrado ideal for producing coffee.
