The farms these Costa Rican beans hail from is a conglomerate of 228 smaller coffee producers that came together back in 1960 to form "Coopetarrazú", a group with the established goal of giving equal pay and say to these small producers, something historically only given to bigger producers. 80% of their members are farms with 4 hectares or less. The Coopetarrazú controls everything from harvest to exporting, which ensures maximum consistency.
